Shape Early / Founder’s story

From surviving the void to shaping possibility.

Shape Early began with one person learning that recovery is rarely a straight line—and deciding that support should arrive long before people are left to navigate life alone.

The spark

A life interrupted became a life reimagined.

In 2013, a head injury changed Ritesh’s world. Recovery brought its own quiet questions: how do we find our way back when the map has disappeared? What helps us keep going when “normal” is no longer available?

Over time, community, creativity and the practice of showing up again became part of the answer. Shape Early grows from that lived understanding—not as a promise to remove life’s hard moments, but as a belief that stronger foundations can change how we meet them.

2013 → NOW

A different kind of compass

Not a lecture. A lightbulb moment.

Ritesh’s work has always made room for the human story: its raw edges, absurd turns and capacity for renewal. Recognised as a Reading Community Champion and Oxford 2025 Author of the Year, he is now bringing that same warmth to a new question: how might we give the next generation more room to thrive?

That question is Shape Early.

Smile... because other options are boring.
